Nuits-Saint-Georges "Les Montroziers"
This cuvée is a blend of 4 hectares spread from the north to the south of Nuits-Saint-Georges, and from the bottom to the top of the hillsides. The very pebbly ‘Argillats’ contributes delicate aromas, while the flat ‘Lavières’, consisting of marl, silt and hard limestone, imparts concentration and depth to the wine. The seductive nose combines woody, fruity and spicy notes. On the palate, the wine delivers a round, generous mouthfeel with velvety tannins and superb harmony. This wine is characterised by delicacy, charm and elegance.
Domaine Faiveley
Based in Nuits-Saint-Georges and founded in 1825, Faiveley is one of the largest and most illustrious domaines in Burgundy. Many of Faiveley’s top wines are hand bottled with no filtration. This in turn results in clean, opulent wines that often show Pinot Noir at its best. Their concentration and richness are rarely equalled. In recent years there has been a notable expansion of vineyards under Faiveley’s control, particularly designed to augment the Domaine’s white wine offerings in the Côte de Beaune.
