Manually harvested from high quality plots located in Rioja Alavesa, this blend of 90% Tempranillo with Garnacha, Graciano and Mazuelo is aged in a combination of French (70%) and American (30%) new and second-use oak for a period of about 22 months. It then spends another year in bottle prior to release. The wine is elegant to the nose, with outstanding spicy and fine wood notes and a very expressive touch of very mature and stewed fruits. To the palate, it is a full-bodied wine with a solid structure, very complex, refined, with a long aftertaste and very round tannins that anticipate a long capacity for ageing. Perfect for pairing with red meats and fatty dishes.
